Initial approval
A local committee reviews the person and available evidence in person. Government ID can be one evidence pathway, but the model must support other accountable pathways where rules permit.
Universal expiry
Every attestation expires after 45 days. Expiry is a core safeguard, not an optional reminder, because proof of human should remain current.
Community renewal
Renewal is through a randomly assigned community peer group. Exact group size, signature thresholds, appeals, and recovery rules remain unfinished and should not be represented as operational.
Protocol status: committee approval starts the lifecycle; every attestation expires after 45 days; random peer renewal details are still being designed.
